Nanoforce service offering is concentrated on polymer processing, coatings, piezoelectric ceramics sensors, encapsulation, electrospinning and material characterisation. Its key competencies are in compounding and transforming polymeric nanocomposites. The company has complementary technology in the field of ceramic nanomaterials with specialist processing techniques such as spark plasma sintering. The company has a broad range of mechanical testing capabilities for thermoplastics and thermosetting materials such as tensile, flexure, impact, shear and nano-indentation. The electrospinning division of the company can produce polymer nanofibres in a simple way and has applications in medical textiles. Nanoforce also specialises in supporting technology projects either supported directly by industry or a combination of industrial funding with state support. The company has experience in working in European projects under framework 6 and is a partner in a number of ongoing DTI programmes.
