Knowledge Transfer Networks (KTNs) stimulate innovation in the UK’s key technology sectors by promoting collaboration, best practice and knowledge sharing between industry and academia. By encouraging partnerships and teamwork, KTNs aim to position the UK as the innovation engine for Europe. Established in 2007 as a successor to the MNT Network, the Nanotechnology KTN will build upon an existing network of over 700 organisations, working with a mix of well established and young innovative companies and a world-class research base.
The Nanotechnology KTN enables the effective exploitation and commercialisation of micro and nanotechnologies by promoting knowledge exchange, facilitating innovation, encouraging supply chain collaborations and providing thought leadership. Membership of the Nanotechnology KTN is open to industrial companies, technology providers, academia, trade bodies and learned societies with a passion for micro and nanotechnologies.
